Rachel uses creativity and imagination to teach the core tenets of technique.
Hornist, pianist and pedagogue Rachel Côté is acclaimed for her relentless dedication to artistry,
both as a performer and teacher of horn, piano, and ear training. A graduate of the Bachelors
program at the Glenn Gould School as well as from the McGill Conservatory School, Rachel uses
creativity and imagination to teach the core tenets of technique.
Rachel has taught in several different settings, and to various age groups. Her main experience is
teaching private, in person lessons, but she has also taught groups, day camp activities, and
online.
Her approach to teaching is flexible, and driven by the individual needs of every student.
Rachel wishes to impart a strong sense of independence and creativity to her students, in order
for them to gain the skills needed to be their own teacher.
